You might remember that a few months ago, Tom auctioned his gold jacket in aid of his Dad's charity, Rwanda Aid, raising an amazing £6,200 (as well as donations from many of you).

I join to your opinion, dear Left Coast, and add that generosity is not only a money matter. We have examples of great people that have given to charity causes what they don`t have. That is the mirror, generations have to look at. Is not about give what you have left, is about contribute with what you have, even if it`s a little. I`m sure Mr. Chaplin agrees. Good luck. The lives of Africans in their traditional houses made from mud / or shacks/, without cooking areas, or toilet facilities, termite timbers, without fresh water, lives without education, a high birthrate are or were indeed very hopeless. The generous gifts of the charity Rwanda Aid - i. e. of its founder Mr. D. Chaplin, his nephew Mr. B.Reed - architect and sustainability expert, and mainly of our lovely and loved Tom - because without money will be possible nothing., so your gifts such as new eco-homes, model farm ,children study or using condoms, I believe will change and improve their poor lives. Mi fà un immenso piacere sapere che si stanno costruendo delle case fatte con materiali migliori capaci di resistere anche ai terremoti , così la gente di questo villaggio potrà sentirsi più sicura e protetta e finalmente potrà anche cominciare a sorridere di più e ad avere un pò più di serenità ! Awesome! Sustainable development really is the key to solving poverty... I'm glad Mr. Chaplin runs this charity and I'm happy to see the work they're doing! I don't really have any money to give but I'd love to be involved in some other way...

KEANE, you know how to relieve the consciences and also the wallets, on that occasion... Cool ! Congrats & great job !!!... It's properly unthinkable that a part of the world is doing some caprices about trifles while the other part is still so destitute... By the way, Africa needs help and money but also to change some fundamental attitudes... I'm pretty sure the challenge is most of all to bring women to gain the upper hand and to help them to take control of their fate... Women have the keys of the changing but this is sometimes too disturbing for men... So, that's why some women still have to suffer from moral or physical mistreatments... Personaly, this year I plan to buy a huge bunch of roses so as to contribute to the project of girls schooling... And as it's nicely said on La Rose de Marie-Claire website : «...Parce que l'éducation des filles fait avancer le monde»... ♥G'Night♥ !
