Dear someonelse - the song is about Richard and Tim - the Video is about BEXHILL - and from what I can see they are very proud of it! In a recent interview I saw Tim push a mike away and back into Toms direction as soon as he could. Tom had pushed it over to him to answer a question about Soveriegn light cafe. KEane are so good becos they play on their strengths!

I love the fact that you asked the people of Bexhill to participate, instead of asking fashion models and people that don't really know the place. I loved the "group picture" at the end as well as the scene when you four sit at the table outside the Sovereign Light Café, I can not imagine how many times you already did the same thing in the past, and I thank you so much for sharing with us your childhood and present memories of the place. just bought the extended version of the album recently from my local music store without checking, and realized that it didn't come with a CD booklet like some other versions, and there's even a spelling mistake for 'marketed' at the back of the sleeve.extremely upset about it...gonna buy the deluxe one.

Marinaaa - you are right - there are people out there who feed off calling people names. they are usually talentless in fact a lot of them are music critics. Ask Keane - I can't get over some of the comments aimed at them. They enjoy calling people names but if you answer them they just carry on!

nice video but i really want to see all the guys singing and do their thing like i want to see jesse singing the choirs and tim paying the piano and richard all exited about the drumss want the emotion they transmit when performing totally loved the last scene at the table grate ;)

Au fait, I really love the Stangeland Deluxe version. I like very much the thing and the idea. The short story at the beginning, the paper, the superb pictures...And I love "Disconnected" in the album with the tone below relatively to the live i heard in you tube. The Acoustic version of this song is also very beautiful with Jesse on guitar. For the album in general, I found it unequal, (sorry I still prefer Under The Iron Sea) with very good songs (The Starting Line, Stangeland, Sea Fog, Watch How You Go...) and songs I don't like. But it's a really beautiful work made by Keane.

Thanks KM ! To be honest I was thinking it was a good video but quite typical (very keane) until the last minute arrives. Then I adored the idea of the brass band and the scene at the café. And what a fantastic final with the picture !
Tom looked quite taken with his marching band- I think he'd quite like them to walk behind him permanently!

Actually saying "a nice solid song" is an understatement, I should have said that this is one of the nicest pieces of music I've heard, very nostalgic feeling to the song.
Not great but faaaaaar better than the piece of crap which was the Silenced By The Night video. I somehow envisioned this happening during the evening with a carnival or something going around it. Lol at Richard randomly sitting on a bench with a scarf/sunglasses. Also, I was hoping that they'd add an acoustic guitar to the single version like they had on the original live version from a couple years ago but still a nice solid song.

I love it!! I may be a biased Keane fan, but I love this video!! Kudos to the director---I love the pride shown in the video and the stuff that looks like it wasn't choreographed (like Tom being the conductor of the marching band) and I love the atmosphere. Congrats for a lovely, lovely video!!! Matches the mood of the song perfectly. It's nice to see Richard, Tim and Jesse standing in the places of the photos of the Strangeland book. Your smiles when you finally meet at the café table are so heartwarming, an homage to friendship. And the last scene is a great homage to Bexhill people, they look happy and proud. I like the mix of young and old people too. Just missed a glance at the places of Battle mentioned in the song, and also missed Jesse's cute big dog! E poi è molto vivace e vario con tutti quei personaggi e mi piace vedere te Tom camminare sul lungomare di Bexill e poi alla fine vedere tutta la band seduta ad un tavolino del Sovereign Light Cafè, che bello!!! Grazie per questo nuovo video, lo adoro!!! P.S. Come ambiente mi ricorda un pò Giardini Naxos perchè ha un vasto lungomare con la sabbia ed è una località sempre piena di gente e turisti che ammirano il mare!!! Sabrina da Catania, Sicily, Italy!!!
