Hi folks. We just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that, sadly, Hopes And Fears didn't win the Best Album of 30 Years at the Brit Awards last night. The award was actually won by Oasis's album (What's The Story) Morning Glory.
However, we do know that Keane got loads of votes, and we wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who took the trouble to vote for Hopes And Fears. We really do appreciate it.
So, yeah, it was a case of close, but no cigar. Still, that's no bad thing, because cigars are BAD FOR YOU.

Well, it's a pity that you guys didn't win it, but know that you are the best. Whenever I feel like listening to something I search and search and I ALWAYS end up by listening to Keane.. I've never known any other band that can play directly to my heart. I always cry of happiness when listening to you. You know, your songs keep my dreams alive, give me hope and strenght. Thanks a lot for that! :D
Actually, it is sad to know that Hopes and Fears did not win the award, you deserve, not unworthy of the Oasis, but doing what .... for us this is the best album !!!!! I hope you return soon to Brazil!

I´m a fan of Oasis too but if I were a judge, I would never choose one of its albums. They make good Rock and Roll, that´s all. I still think "Hopes and Fears" is one of the best album I´ve ever heard in my life

I watched the programme and definitely think Oasis didn't deserve this award, especially after what Liam threw it away along with the microphone at the end of his speech (and the speech wasn't nice either). Don't get me wrong, I like their songs but I think they are just far too stuck up... Oh well, in my eyes you are the real winners and always will be. Love you, guys!!! :D

I got a surprise when I read that Keane aren´t together. Fortunately the Mt. Desolation is primarily the Side project of Tim and Jesse !!! btw you obviously changed your image, with or without beards you look still handsome!/ Tim is very skilful musician and the new album of new band will be successful for sure. Hello. Ouh, yes, it may be sad, but me thinks awards is yet not the most important thing in the world. Much better when music really moves people, when it is close to their hearts. This is the best reward, me thinks. And anyway, it doesn't matter if someone gets any awards or not. Music speaks for itself. It can be different and people are all different, but how it is wonderful that everyone can find something close to him. And Hopes and Fears is close to so many people, so it really doesn't need any words or awards to see that this album (like all other albums of Keane actually) is a great one, with unique sound and loved by so many people. Much love to all of you and thank you very much.

you may have not won the award, but that doesn't mean H&F is not the best album of 30 years. At least, you know there are loads of people (me included, of course) who really consider H&F as the best album of the last 30 years, (not to say of all times!). Well, I agree with most of opinions below !... It made me a bit sad too because we know "your great worth" and so you deserved to win as much as these "foe brothers" !... Well, we don't need this award to tell us that H & F was the best do we? Liam Gallagher's behaviour at the Brits showed an utter lack of respect for all his fans that had bothered to vote - he effectively threw the award back in their faces. Quite disgraceful. Thank goodness Keane know how to treat their fans - and that's just one one the many reasons that we all love them so much.Hope and Fears - simply THE BEST.

Just as Tim said a couple of weeks ago, WTS(MG) is really a grat record, and is was hard to beat... never the less, H&F is my favorite.
Well, we have to admit Oasis is a really good band. They (and Blur too) were like the first Brit Pop fathers so I guess it was a good choice... BUT, as @reyna_ds said (look 2 or 3 comments below) H&F will be the best record of our lives. Love you guys. Greetings from Mexico.

This has no relevance to the above story but i had to let the lads and km.com about this. I wrk in a shoeshop called shoezone. on valentines day jus gone, i had a man come in. he so very looked and sounded like our tom chaplin. i would defo put a picture up into ere but he came in whilst i was on duty. so gutted. btw this man he had a valentine's card and bought 2 pairs of insoles. I think km.com and the lads should do a look and sound alikes comp. what does every1 think?
